About Us

East Wing ASA Capital is an investment management with a diversified portfolio of almost 20 million USD in assets under management. The company was established in early 2010 with a management team who bring expertise international finance and investment experience to the firm.

We believe the energy, creativity and spirit of the people of Vietnam make it the world's top emerging market investment opportunity.

We manages two funds including Mot Eat Wing Vietnam Limited Partnership and Hai East Wing Vietnam Limited Partnership a diversified fund that invests in all asset classes, including listed and private equities, real estate, and bonds.

East Wing ASA Capital is based in Singapore and has offices in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and Tokyo, Japan.

Our Track Record

As part of ASA Group, we aim to diversify our business development with a view to its core financial services firm that specializes in accounting finance. East Wing ASA Capital Pte. Ltd is to execute fund arrangement business which focuses investment in unlisted companies in Vietnam and Cambodia, and conversely, we help these companies do business in Japan.

Management Team

Mr. Tetsuji Nagata - Managing Director

Joining Sanyo Securities Co., Ltd. in 1988, Mr. Tetsuji Nagata was engaged in business activities that targeted wealthy individual investors and his sales performance earned him first place for three consecutive years. Then, the company sent Mr. Nagata to the Thunderbird, the Garvin School of International Management where he completed the Master of global management course. Upon return to Japan he was assigned to the sales department at the company's head office.

In April 1995, he was headhunted to Bloomberg L.P. (Tokyo), where he dedicated himself to sales activities with his customary ability for sales and market analysis. In November 1996, Mr. Nagata was promoted to sales leader in charge of Japan-based securities companies, and in September 2003, to sales and analytics account manager.

In July 2003, he participated in a JETRO-organized investment tour of Vietnam and took an interest in the Vietnam stock market. He began a market survey, and then made investments in Vietnam stocks using his own capital.

In July 2006, he left Bloomberg L.P. and started East Wing Asset Management LLP now reorganized as East Wing Consultancy Pte. Ltd., with current investments amounting to over ten billion yen.

In 2010, together with ASA Group- Global Investment Division , Nagata set up East Wing ASA Capital Pte. Ltd as Managing Director. He is also running Sonatra Microfinance Institution Plc, a Cambodia based financial company, as a CEO.

Mr. Tsubasa Imamura - Director

In 2002, Mr. Imamura graduated Osaka University Graduate School of Engineering. In the same year, he joined Shinsei Bank and engaged in structured finance arrangements in securitized products' services. Subsequently, he experienced several years working for JP Morgan, Lehman Brothers and Calyon Securities fulfilling his duties in investment banking division, where he was mainly working on structured finance and principal investments. In May 2008, Mr. Imamura joined up Aoyama Sogo Accounting Office – ASA Business Development, as Director of Global Investment Division. He is also running as Managing Director of Sequedge ASA Capital Limited, which is performing consulting focus on China investment fund.

Ms. Tran Thi Hong Nhat - Manager

Graduated from Foreign Trade University in 2005, Ms. Nhat joined Ernst & Young Vietnam as auditor where she delivered assurance advisory and internal controls services involved in the accounting system. Then, after that, in 2007 she worked for Mekong Securities of the Indochina Capital Group and Bao Viet Securities Company in Vietnam as Senior Associate for 3 years. She was major in corporate finance advisory services with variety of experiences in equitization, IPO, listing as well as capability of doing due diligence, industrial and companies analysis, financial analysis and modeling. In December 2010, she joined East Wing ASA Capital Limited as Senior Analyst.
